This is the Preface for my first book, entitled Thesis ~ The Strangest of all Attractors.
In the final draft of THESIS, this is the first thing that will be read before you see any of the maps and regions of Gearshift Eden Proper. I'll get those uploaded to Substack eventually. This then leads directly into the first chapter of the book, entitled What Is & What Should Never Be.
The Hasmian Rosetta Stone Inscriptions
Original 1869 translation by Mary-Anne Rutherford McGalland
The Hasmian Rosetta Stone Inscriptions, as described by the Niamaterian Restoration Commission (NRC):
“Found in a cave on one of the desolate islands of Rith-na, this large, fifteen foot tall block of stone has been dubbed as The Hasmian Rosetta Stone. This artifact was used by Mary-Anne McGalland to help decode the Hasmian language in as little as seven Earth months.
‘The artifact was supposedly made around the Earth era of the 14th Century, although modern-day carbon dating cannot give us an exact date. A Hasmian High Priest, likely Evalon himself, ordered for the stone to be moved from the moon of Arcolon to The Osidaiu in Niamaterian. This is why carbon dating is not possible.
‘The artifact has six faces, with these inscriptions written out in five ancient Earth languages, along with Hasmian. These languages are Egyptian, Aramaic, Latin, Mayan and the Indian and Myanmar language of Naga. McGalland was only familiar with Neo Latin when she came upon the stone in the Earth year of 1868. The inscriptions are agreed to be Old Latin, which dates as far back as Earth’s seventh century B.C.
‘The unusual thing of note is that the inscriptions rhyme in English. As far we know, Arcolon and Aplatis did not speak or were aware of the English language at the time of the stone’s creation. McGalland took note of this, but failed to come up with an explanation. Modern day linguists too are perplexed at how these texts seems to be written for English - but well before the English language was known to exist by our extraterrestrial brethren. Conspiracy theories exist on the subject, including one that claims that the inscriptions are fake. These claims are most certainly false.
‘The original source of the inscription’s texts come from The Singing Scriptures, which were a series of books written by Evalon Gar, concerning his conversations with the mythical Aplatoian goddess, Fanswalda. Portions of The Singing Scriptures were later used in The Book of Aplatis, where Evalon made the claim that Fanswalda spoke in a ‘sacral language’ that only he and his fellow High Priests were able to understand.”
Walk, dearest Wanderer,
for may you be lost
You still have your head,
more than these dull, craven, odd lots
These lots are Death’s Angels -
living and yet rotten
Sur-ah-tiph, degenerate,
cursed, ill-begotten
The Contrasts of Limbo
makes flesh and soul auton
The deaths of this madness -
lowest, down-trodden
The Holy Eyes of Aether
of Wandering Gaze
Sees and knows more
than most would dare say
Sees more than those
who spin tales and webs lay
These words which are written
descend from Great Aether
Ev-lon as sole author and
Fawn-swal-della as great teacher -
Death’s Angels push our demise
in ways more than just one
A Wanderer shall stride along
where Death’s Angels cannot
For as cunning and devious
as Death’s Angels may be
The most cunning of all is one
whose life script is not seen
As your world you will loose and
your life shall must fade
Shall also will too
Death’s Angels fall reign
But beware this great death
‘fore death takes full bidding
For death of free spirit comes
‘fore final blow’s beating
For squaring this circle,
fear may, be exceeding
Some is excess but some is
most needing
A virtue for all, aside elite’s
preening
For light upon truth is the
objective at end’s seeing
So walk, dearest Wanderer, for
may you be lost
You still have your head, more
than these dull, craven, odd lots
Still - beware this great death
before final blow’s kill
A demon of fear
that renders you still
Renders you vengeful
without one’s own fill
So heed these wise words from
Fawn-swal-della -
The angry and vengeful pack lies
and they sell them
To people like them, their minds
equally bedlam
Under Contrasts of Limbo -
there is no dark bed
No White Void of Demons
but for the demons in one’s head
All lies and soft truths
mixed well for most dullard
Mixed most well, in fact, for even
most solemn’d
The tools of the trade that
keep those in boxed columns
Delusion and madness which
pour top and down bottom
The dying of light comes upon
many lost souls
A choice to be made, one of ruin,
one of gold
Behold, lo Death’s Angels -
great, mighty swords unsheathed
Boisterous words echoed
no bother, care or heed
Against those like them -
one nation, birth or creed
Differences seen divide those of
same wants and same needs
‘til their breaks are made broken -
a fine powder but proceeds
Those who stand above it all
control these fierce winds
The finest of all grinds but for
the greatest of all ends -
‘til their breaks are made broken
when the dance and music stops
‘til their winds blow far too much
for their own to stay aloft -
Anger and fear are but flaws
of the dumb
Reality operates beyond these
lump sums
All last resorts made by those
who are done
Some plan and conspire, some
affix and re-wire
Some climb and they climb far
up their great spires
Then they slip and they fall -
great plans are not perfect
The greatest of all plans are all
ridden with great defects
The bigger and grander the
plans they concoct
Will fall on their heads, and be
all for naught
So walk, dearest Wanderer, for
may you be lost
You still have your head - more
than these dull, craven, odd lots
I'm not much for begging, but if you think I did something worthwhile, consider chipping a dollar or some satoshi's my way.
